Delete your data.

You don't have to delete your account to remove your data. You can delete specific things yourself in the app, ask us to delete specific data, or delete your entire account — whichever you prefer.

Delete specific data in the app

You can delete these yourself at any time, while keeping your account:

Collection entries: delete any knife from its detail screen — this also removes its photos, specs, valuations, and maintenance log.
Labels and how items are organized.
Community posts: delete your own Face-Offs arguments and the debates you started.
Follows & reminders: unfollow brands/products and remove maintenance reminders.
Devices: turn off notifications to remove a device's push registration, and sign out of all devices from Settings.

Ask us to delete specific data

For anything you can't remove yourself — or to request deletion of some or all of your data without closing your account — email support@choil.app from the address on your account (or use the support page). Tell us what to delete; we action verified requests promptly, normally within 30 days.

Delete your whole account

To erase everything at once — your account and all of its data — use Settings → Delete account in the app or go to choil.app/account/delete. A web (Stripe) subscription is cancelled automatically; an App Store / Google Play subscription must be cancelled in that store's settings.

What we keep

The only thing retained after deletion is an anonymized security/audit log (no personal content), which auto-purges after 90 days — see our Privacy Policy.
